Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit all required regulatory reports for the site, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the site and regulatory agencies, fostering a positive, collaborative, and responsive relationship.
- Gain expertise in managing the site's Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS), acting as the primary contact for the OEM. Ensure data accuracy, generate reports, coordinate corrections, and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Assist in setting site goals, objectives, and policies to align with the company’s EHS compliance mission.
- Oversee NERC/CIP program compliance to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Provide hands-on support to operating personnel to maintain EHS compliance and contribute to process improvements that reduce compliance risks and optimize operational efficiency.
- Conduct incident and near-miss investigations using root cause analysis methodologies, contributing to corrective action development, implementation, and tracking.
- Participate in regulatory and internal audits to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
- Stay up to date with new and evolving regulatory requirements affecting site EHS compliance.
- Provide support during off-hours, nights, weekends, and emergency response situations, including outages as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Specialized expertise in Clean Air Act programs with general knowledge of other regulatory areas (CWA, EPCRA, CERCLA, RCRA, RMP). Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and quality assurance activities is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of performance.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on strategic thinking, planning, and results-driven execution.
- Effective team player with a demonstrated ability to build consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
