Expected salary range of $143,100 to $159,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
Create strategic direction, guidance, and oversight goals for the Corporate Security Department. Manage the Company’s Security Programs to include but not limited to oversight and utilization of a variety of open and closed source data feeds & tools in order to assist in the direction, response, and mitigation of potential threats to company employees and assets. Manage threat intelligence training & awareness in order to reduce the risks to company personnel and assets and increase employee awareness. Manage to Identification of threats and collect relevant intelligence, in conjunction with and in support of, standard procedures for incident response, including but not limited to, Executive and BU Crisis Management Teams, Operational/Investigative Response Teams, Executive Protection, and Special Event Management. Conduct studies and make recommendations to identify threats; threat vectors; threat actors; and threat trends. Assist with internal and external partners with their investigations or with the due diligence program by providing them with information such as, but not limited to, open source and social media intelligence. Oversee Background Investigations, International Backgrounds, Due Diligence, NERC CIP Program, Strategy Plans and Projects. Provide daily management and operational oversight of the Security Program functions. Maintain strong partnerships with Human Resources, Legal, Business Unit Partners, Security Specialists, and vendors to ensure compliance with company standards and to continually improve and communicate processes and procedures. Train and develop Background Investigation/Due Diligence team members. Manage vendor relationships. Work with Business Unit Partners on Strategy Plans to ensure adherence to policies and procedures relating to the various Security Programs. Responsible for assigning work, providing training, conducting performance reviews, a backup to supporting Intelligence with Investigations or Background Investigations and adherence to relevant policies and procedures. Develop, communicate, and implement new and revised procedures.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Act as a liaison to enterprise-wide security teams, providing risk and threat assessment as well as intelligence analysis.
- Maintain a security network of public and private entities to support effective information sharing.
- Brief and present to all levels of employees, including senior executives.
- Explore and investigate long-term intelligence threat issues to the enterprise through strategic research and analysis. Provide guidance and recommendations on Corporate Security investigations and operations in order to identify emerging threats & help develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, on a rotational basis, to deliver immediate action for critical intelligence functions and crisis management.
- Conduct effective liaison to external agencies including fusion centers and law enforcement agencies.
- Provide oversight to Constellation’s Security Clearance, Travel Safely, and Foreign Visitor Programs.
- Participate in professional networking to establish contacts within areas such as: intelligence organizations, law enforcement, the corporate security industry, etc.
- Works closely with the Cyber Intelligence team in their effort to identify and monitor cyber threat intelligence sources and provide actionable intelligence.
- Manage complex end to end background investigations, to include International Hires and Due Diligence risk reports, including conducting intake meetings, assessments, investigative interviews, adjudications, high risk hires and debrief meetings
- Manage personal risk assessments in accordance to NERC CIP-004, R3.
- Partner cross-functionally with Employment Law, HR and Employee Relations Business Partners, Security, Internal Audit, NERC Program Manager, and the businesses to conduct a prompt, thorough investigations, to include using intelligence and to ensure employment law and/or regulatory compliance
- Lead the resource management and long-range planning processes by providing direction, guidance, and performance data to ensure Business Plan and Financial goals are achieved.
- Provide monthly Business Plan Performance Reports and Budget Performance reports to the Director to ensure the team meets budget targets and that budgets are prioritized to support achievement of Business plan goals
- Audit methods, to ensure program controls comply with corporate governance and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Criminal Justice or Business Administration, and 5 years’ security management or law enforcement experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Ability to work effectively under high dynamic, fast paced environments

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- Experience with Long Term Strategic Planning
- Experience, either in conducting and/or managing investigations or in practicing labor and employment law
- Experience conducting investigations that will withstand legal scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions
