Become a Regulatory Compliance Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work in our Corporate Security team to coordinate SCE regulatory compliance programs to maintain compliance with State and Federal laws, regulations, and compliance standards, including Cal OSHA workplace violence regulations, California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) Physical Security of Electric Infrastructure regulation, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) BES Cyber Systems standards, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Dam Safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates and executes district compliance audits or assessments
- Participates in industry and trade groups to share information and benchmark compliance programs against best practices and differing interpretations
- Develops communications and participates in meetings related to changes in standards
- Provides guidance on projects and programs on activities relevant to regulatory compliance assessments
- Maintains knowledge of developments or changes in regulatory agencies to be able to provide interpretations and guidance on how business could be affected
- Ensures corporate regulatory manuals are current and reviewed periodically
- Conducts proactive compliance and operational risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance. Collaborates with various stakeholder to provide direction and implement sound business decisions. Reviews strategies and business communications in order to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations enacted by external regulatory authorities
- Ensures adoption and compliance with good corporate governance practices
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience with regulatory guidelines, compliance standards, or risk assessment of noncompliance issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Effective communication skills and experience conducting trainings and/or public speaking.
- Experience in legislative and compliance analysis.
- Experience in project planning and/or management.
- Understanding of workplace violence and harassment prevention programs.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
